Microsoft
SharePoint Optimization & Copilot Integration
Production
Microsoft’s Jumpstart Marketing team supports OEM partners like Dell and HP with a wide array of marketing content, including imagery, messaging, videos, and brand guidelines. However, as the content library grew, partners struggled to find the right assets quickly. Catalysis was brought in to streamline the experience and improve content discoverability. The solution combined a redesigned SharePoint portal with a custom Copilot agent that dramatically improved search functionality and usability. Positive early feedback has already led Microsoft to consider expanding the tool across other sites.
Data
The original SharePoint site housed hundreds of files across multiple languages and product lines. Users reported difficulty navigating the structure, finding assets, and understanding how to apply brand guidance. The lack of a cohesive system limited the effectiveness of Microsoft’s well-developed marketing resources.
Creative
Catalysis conducted a full audit of the site and worked closely with Microsoft to identify user pain points. We redesigned the homepage to focus on clarity and ease of access, implemented a structured folder system with consistent naming conventions, and surfaced key links as call-to-actions. A customized Copilot agent was also developed, capable of answering detailed questions, linking to assets, and including non-text files like images and videos in its search responses. Documentation was created so the Microsoft team could maintain and scale the system internally.
Results
While formal metrics are still in development, the client’s response has been enthusiastic. The Copilot agent successfully answered complex questions, surfaced specific files by name, and helped users interpret brand guidelines, all within the SharePoint interface. Encouraged by this success, Microsoft is planning to roll out the solution more broadly across its internal platforms.
